Adding the ability to clone a form
Who is this article for?
Users responsible for managing Questionnaire template pages.
Performance Modeller or Model Administrator permissions and Ideagen Healthcare Guardian v25.2+ access are required.
Performance Modellers and Model Administrators can edit questionnaire templates pages, if they are members of the Question Type permission group.
Note: The ability to clone a form may be used when a single incident affects multiple people, and individual records are required for each person.
Cloning the initial form reduces the amount of duplication required for subsequent forms.
1. Enable the Clone setting
- Access Question Manager.
- Select the questionnaire type.
- Open a questionnaire.
- Open the questionnaire settings.
- Select Enable cloning on fist submit.
- Click Done.
- Save the updated questionnaire.
2. Add a Grouping ID (optional)
Grouping ID is a new field type which may be added to a questionnaire template.
- This field is not editable on initial submission, but is auto-populated.
- Any cloned forms will be given the same Grouping ID as the original. This may be used to group values in a report.
Important Note: A Grouping ID is essential for related incidents submitted to the Victorian Healthcare Incident Management System (VHIMS).
3. Clone a submitted form
- If cloning is enabled, end users will see a new option after submitting a form, Clone Questionnaire.
- Selecting this opens a new form pre-populated with details from the previously submitted form, including attachments and links. Any details not required may be edited.
