Access to the AI prompts is required.

This article explains how to create, edit, and manage AI Prompts within Ideagen Healthcare Guardian once the AI feature has been activated by a site administrator. These prompts enable users to harness Ideagen AI to generate summaries, suggested actions, and potential answers based on questionnaire data—enhancing productivity and decision-making.

Accessing AI prompt management

Once AI functionality is enabled, users with access to Question Manager can create and maintain AI Prompts for any questionnaire.

To maintain the prompts:

1. Open Question Manager.
2. Select the desired questionnaire.
3. Click on the AI Prompts tab.

Creating a new AI prompt

To create a new prompt:

1. Click the plus icon in the top-right corner.
2. A panel will slide out, allowing you to configure the new prompt.

AI prompt configuration options

Each AI Prompt includes the following fields:

• Name: The name of the prompt, displayed in live questionnaires.
• Type: Defines the kind of response the AI will generate:
  • Summary – Produces a human-readable summary.
  • Action – Suggests a list of actionable steps.
  • Suggest Answers – Offers potential answers for questionnaire questions.
• Creativity: Controls how imaginative the AI’s response will be:
  • Low – More factual and consistent.
  • High – More varied and creative responses.
• Description: A tooltip visible in live questionnaires. It should clearly explain the purpose of the prompt to end users.
• Prompt: The natural language instruction sent to the AI along with questionnaire data. A well-crafted prompt ensures the AI understands the intent and delivers accurate, useful results.
