Who is this article for?

Users responsible for managing Questionnaire template pages.

Performance Modeller or Model Administrator permissions and Ideagen Healthcare Guardian v22+ access are required.

1. Open Healthcare Guardian (formerly Ideagen Healthcare Guardian) Administrator
2. Click Data Sources
3. Choose the Live Connect that the data source need changing for
4. Click Configure

5. Click Change Source

Structure

Whilst there is no right or wrong setting, the structure should be set with below in mind.

• Questions as single dimension provides Section and Reference. Does not include repeating questions / sections

  This option does include additional information such as the section or the questions reference, so that this can be used in live connect visualisation. This is the best option to choose if users want to display questionnaire audit compliance data. This option DOES NOT allow the presentation of data in repeating sections/questions.

• Questions as individual dimensions, no additional information Include repeating questions/sections

  This option does not include additional information such as the section or the questions reference. However, is the best option to choose if users want to display data in repeating sections/questions (e.g. multiple patient details)

Use Reporting Alias

Whilst there is no right or wrong setting, the use reporting alias should be set with below in mind.

• Use Reporting Alias

  Selecting this option may cause visualisations using the live connection to become unstable if a user changes the reporting alias of a question within a question manager form.

• Use Unique GUIDs, handles changes of reporting alias

  Selecting this option will ensure that live connect visualisations remain intact if a user changes the reporting alias of a question within a question manager form. 

Permission Checking

Whilst there is no right or wrong setting, the permissions should be set with below in mind.

• Use objects' permissions

  Selecting this option will only display live connect data to users who have permissions on the instances associated object(s).  If a questionnaire is not creating objects, only Model Administrators will be able to see the data in visualisations created from the live connection.

• Ignore permissions

  Selecting this option will ensure that all users will be able visualise live connect data regardless of whether they have permissions (or not) on the instances associated object(s)

6. Click Change Source
7. Click Save Link

8. Either update the existing live connection file name or create a new live connection

9. Click OK
