Adding the ability to create tasks on a questionnaire instance
Who is this article for?
Users responsible for managing Questionnaire template pages.
Performance Modeller or Model Administrator permissions and Ideagen Healthcare Guardian v24+ access are required.
Performance Modellers and Model Administrators can edit questionnaire templates pages, if they are member of the Question Type permission group. The task functionality can be added to any existing section or added to a New Section.
1. Adding a Section
To add a section:
- Access Question Manager.
- Select the questionnaire type.
- Open a questionnaire.
- Select Question Builder.
- Click New Section

Add a name of the Section
- Click Save & Overwrite to update the CURRENT VERSION of the questionnaire
2. Enable the Task Setting
Turn on the 'manual' emailing setting on a questionnaire
- Click the Settings (Cog Icon)
- Click General
- Select Tasks
- Add a new question (we recommend 'Hidden')
- Set the reporting alias (we recommend 'Hidden (Tasks)')
- Set the answer type "Grouper (Hidden)"
- Click Save & Overwrite to update the CURRENT VERSION of the questionnaire
The ability to create tasks / Key Actions is only supported when the record instance has moved beyond the [New] workflow stage and is not in Read Only / i.e. End of a workflow stage
