Introduction to license types
Who is this article for?
Administrators managing users.
Administrator access is required.
Ideagen Healthcare Guardian provides a flexible licensing system that allows different license types to be assigned to users, each unlocking specific capabilities and access levels within the platform. This modular approach ensures that users receive the tools and features they need—no more, no less—based on their role and responsibilities.
This structure offers several key benefits:
- Efficiency: Users see only the features relevant to them, reducing complexity and improving usability.
- Security: Access to sensitive data and administrative functions can be restricted to authorised roles.
- Cost-effectiveness: Organisations can allocate advanced licenses only where necessary, optimising resource use.
- Scalability: As teams grow or change, licenses can be easily adjusted to match evolving needs.
This article outlines the license types available.
License types
The table below outlines the license types:
| License type | Description |
|---|---|
| Model administrator | Complete access across the whole system and can edit all items. They can also access Administrator and edit user accounts and permissions. |
| Performance modeller | Performance Modellers can create Objects, Measures and reports. By default they have full authoring permissions on all Objects. They can have their default permissions taken away if required. |
| Performance manager | Performance Manager can create Objects, Measures and reports. By default they have authoring permissions on those Objects that they create. By default they do not have permissions on Objects created by other people but they can be given permission. |
| Reporter | Can view all content in the system but can only edit actions they've been assigned or explicitly granted access to through a permissions group. Can also use Designer mode to create reports in the system. |
| Enterprise user | Can view all content in the system but can only edit actions they've been assigned or explicitly granted access to through a permissions group. |
| Data entry | Data Entry users can use pre-defined Data Entry Portals to enter measure values for those Objects and Measures for which they have been granted Value Entry permissions. They cannot access other Portals. |
