[Video] Power Query
1) To open the power query, you must first have added a visualisation to a cell on your page.
2) Then click on the 'open data' icon in the cell menu.
3) This opens the power query menu.
4) Use the 'find specific' measure tab to find a specific measure. Enter your search criteria into the search bar and then drag your results into the body of the query in the left-hand side window.
5) You may need to use the criteria tab to build out a more complex query.
6) The different criteria are grouped. You can expand the criteria by clicking on it.
7) Depending on the selected criteria, you can then amend aspects of the query, such as filtering on the object type and changing the operators.
8) You can use the preview tab to look at the details of your query.
9) Once you're happy, click apply.
10) The 'series' tab controls what information about the objects and measures in your query will be displayed in your visualisation.
11) Series can be added and removed, by clicking the add or remove button. The position of a series can be changed by clicking and dragging it to the required place.
12) If your query contains tasks, a separate section at the bottom of the page controls these series. It works in the same way as the series for the measures.
13) The 'date' tab controls the date context, the 'format' controls how the date will be displayed.
14) 'Reporting dates' control the reporting frequency and the 'date range' controls the periods included in the visualisation.
