[Video] Performance App for Power Users
The top-level plan.
- The first performance page that we come to is looking at the top-level plan.
- We have a sunburst visual with the inner layer detailing the outcomes, and the outer layer displaying the supporting objectives. Each segment is colour coded based on its performance.
- In the table to the right, the sunburst displays the supporting plans, so any team plans have been linked to this top-level plan. The owner and the performance are also shown in this table.
- The frame that runs down the right-hand side of the page contains the measures of the outcomes in the sunburst. These are grouped by performance.
- Those measures in red are below target, blue is near target, green is exceeding target and grey is unknown.
- These performance cards show the performance of the previous completed period and performance over time for each measure.
- Also on the page, the risk overview provides a breakdown of risks showing the percentage of risks with green, amber, red or missing performance data. And the sunburst visual shows the different risk registers and their associated risks in the outer layer.
- Finally, at the foot of the page, there's a table displaying a PMO overview information around the cost, quality rating, risk rating and status scores for the PMO overall object. We can also drill down by clicking on the arrow to show the scores for the underlying programmes and projects.
- Underneath the table is a project-to-cost benefit visual, which charts the position of projects based on the project benefit score on the x-axis and the costs still to go on the y-axis.
The Outcome Report Pages.
- Next, we come to the three outcome report pages. In the example shown in the video, these are named Prevention, Protection and Timely Response.
- There are five charts at the top of the page, each showing a different measure in a different visualisation.
- Beneath this is a kanban chart containing the details of actions and we can amend the stage of each action by clicking and dragging under the appropriate stage heading.
- At the footer of the page, we have associated risks and projects with the measure data displayed in the trend table to the left-hand side and charted in the visualisations to the right.
To configure this page:
- Enter the Planning app through Ideagen Healthcare Guardian Home.
- Under ‘Supporting Data,’ select ‘Plan Performance Administration’.
- The first table on this page allows us to select which corporate plan we want the corporate overview page to focus on.
- Enter data entry mode and then check or uncheck accordingly.
- The corporate overview sub-reports table displays all the outcomes associated with the corporate plan we've just selected.
- From here we can select which outcome or outcomes will drive the information that displays on each of the outcome record pages in this instance name prevention protection, and timely response. As you scroll down, you have a table for each of the outcome report pages detailing the outcomes selected and their associated measures.
- You can now select which measure appears on each of the five charts for each report page.
- At the foot of the page, there's a template that shows us which chart is chart one, two, and so on. So you have the ability to configure the report pages based on the selections we make here.
Thematic Plans Page
- Enter the Performace App and navigate it to the thematic plans page.
- This page allows you to select any corporate plan that wasn't ticked to display on the corporate overview.
- Select a plan from the drop-down selection box.
- The other frames on the page will update the outcomes of the plan displayed in the sunburst and the measures associated with those outcomes are listed as performance cards.
- To the right, measures are grouped again by performance rating.
- Under this, you have a table displaying details of any supporting objectives for those outcomes and any measures associated with them, followed by breakdowns of the associated risks and projects and similar visualisations to what we've seen previously.
- The team plans page is structured in the same way as the thematic plans. The only difference is that you can only select team plans from the drop-down box at the top of the page.
The Outcomes Page
- The outcomes page gives you a look in detail at one particular outcome and its supporting objectives.
- Select a plan first from the first drop-down and then an outcome from the second drop-down underneath.
- The sunburst will update with the selected outcome and its measures
- By selecting a segment on the sunburst, the table and chart to the right will focus on the selected segment and allow you to view information for the current period and also see performance over time in the performance chart.
- Beneath the sunburst, there's a Gantt chart showing the actions associated with the outcome and beneath that the outcome risks and projects.
- As you scroll down, the second half of the page mirrors the same structure, but this time looking from the perspective of the supporting objectives.
- The sunburst again drives the content in the table and the chart with the actions, projects and risks displayed below.
The Exception Analysis Page.
- The Exception Analysis page shows outcomes supporting objectives, tasks and measures that are underperforming for the current period.
- In the first table, if you select a measure, the table to the right will update to display performance over time.
- And at the foot of the table, you can enter narrative concerning the performance chosen measure.
- Beneath this, you can view actions that are deemed to be exceptions. This means any late actions or those who have red performance ratings.
The Action Tracker Page
- The action tracker page gives you the ability to view all actions and update if necessary, by entering data entry mode.
- As with other tables across Ideagen Healthcare Guardian, you can use the slicers at the top of the table to filter the results.
The SWOT Page
- The SWOT page separates out all the key elements of a chosen plan, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
- Select a plan from the drop-down selection box to put the rest of the frames on the page to update accordingly.
- Strikes are measures that are achieving or exceeding target weaknesses or measures that are not achieving targets.
- Opportunities are measured to the close to the target, and threats are the risks associated with the selected plan.
- On each of the tables, if you select a measure, it will populate a performance chart to the right view performance over time of the measure we've chosen.
