[Video] Safeguarding for Power Users
This video will show you how to access the Safeguarding app, how to add and submit an alert, how to search for an alert and how to see any actions added to the alert.
1) Access the Safeguarding app, and click on the 'Safeguarding' icon in the Home Page menu.
2) To add an alert, click on 'create alert' to open up the form in a new tab.
3) You will need to fill in the details using the answer boxes provided. Some are select boxes, some are text boxes, and some may be date fields.
4) You may be able to repeat some sections; for example, if multiple people are affected, you can add everybody's details.
5) Mandatory questions are marked with a red asterisk and must be answered before submitting
6) Click 'submit' to add the answers to the Ideagen Healthcare Guardian system.
7) Any alerts created will display on the Safeguarding main page. The counts across the page detail how many alerts have been submitted in each stage.
8) USe the slicers at the top of the page to filter the information and double-click for details to appear in a pop-up window.
9) Edits to the record can be made within the questionnaire, including actions, depending on whether your permissions allow.
10) To add an action, fill in the details in the Summary tab. These include the type of action, the priority of the action, dates, including the start, estimated completion date and due date, assigning an owner and adding a description.
11) At the foot of the questionnaire, there are a series of buttons to move the action along various workflow stages or save it within its current stage.
12) Once you've saved the changes, simply close down the window, and you'll return to the main page.
13) The Safeguarding app has a built-in action tracker that displays all the actions that have been created against alerts. You can use the slicers to filter this information.
14) To update this information, click the 'Data Entry' icon in the top right-hand corner of the page.
15) To search for an existing alert, navigate to the search page. The search criteria run down the left-hand side of the page.
16) Enter the relevant details or search criteria and click 'Search'.
17) The relevant alerts that match this criterion will appear in the table, along with a count of the number of results returned.
18) You can click on the 'Open Form' icon to open up the questionnaire and amend the details as needed.
