How to create a Trends Visualation

Reporter, Performance Manager Performance Modeller or Model Administrator permissions.
Performance Modellers and Model Administrators can edit questionnaire templates pages, if they are member of the Question Type permission group.
This article shows you how to add and populate record links in a questionnaire.
1. Creating a Trends Visualisation
Login and navigate to a portal and page where the visualisation should be created. However, the visualisation can be created in any portal or page and added to the required portal page once designed.
Open the page in Ideagen Healthcare Guardian DESIGNER
In the designer tool (usually located as a floating panel on the left of Ideagen Healthcare Guardian DESIGNER)
Select the Cell the trends report needs to be located within
Select New Visualisation > Trends
Close the New Visualisation dialog window
Choose Add Data (or Open Data)
2. Define the Power Query
Using a range of Objects, Measures, Criteria, or Live Connections, define to the content of the trends visualisation. In the example below, we are showing the following Object Measures
- Object: !nPhase Sample Objective Measure: !nPhase Sample Measure 1
- Object: !nPhase Sample Objective Measure: !nPhase Sample Measure 2
- Object: !nPhase Sample Objective Measure: !nPhase Sample Measure 3
Please be advised that the power query cannot be used to combine a Live Connect and Object Measure query.
3. Define the Series
This dialog window is spilt into two parts | Top = Measures or Bottom = Tasks. | Please edit the appropriate part of the dialog window based on the content of your Power Query

This is free-text description field that should inform the audience what data is being shown period

Choose whether period or YTD data should be returned
- Period

4. Define the Date Range
Select an appropriate Date Format
Choose the Reporting Dates
This allows users to present aggregated data over a period of time (if necessary). However, the default is 'Base Values' meaning that the data will not be aggregated over a defined time period but will report based on the data's reporting frequency.
Define the Date Range

- All to Date
- This Year (The current financial year)
- This Year to date (The current financial year)
- Current period (Based on measure frequency)
- Last completed period (Based on measure frequency)
- This month
- This week
- Custom Range
- Range from a view (i.e. 6 months before view date and 5 months after view date - rolling)
- Report Objects' Date Range (based on the object start date and Model End Date (or Object End Date
- Ad-hoc (specific ad-hoc dates as required)
Click Apply
