Configuring Axis Labels on Charts
Enterprise Users will be able to view and interact with pages. Performance Managers/Modellers can edit pages and objects, and Model Administrators have full permissions.
You will still need to check your personal permissions to access this area with your site Administrator.
Formatting
You have a standard set of formatting options for axis labels:
- Font Family
- Font size
- Font Colour
- Bold/Italic
We suggest using the default label formatting as custom formatting will need to be applied manually across all charts in your system to have consistency. Whereas using the default options keeps consistency and saves time.
If you turn on “Label Format” you also can add a prefix or suffix to your X-axis values. These will be added consistently across all labels on your X-axis.
We recommend leaving this off unless you need to use it.
Y-Axis Formats
To do this, within the chart editor click on the axis and scroll down to “Y-Axis Left” option and expand it to see all the formatting options specifically for the Y-Axis
Dates (power query)
A common requirement is to change how the date values are displayed on the axis. You may want months/days/years displayed in the best way for that piece of information you are trying to convey.
The date format adjustment does not sit in the chart editor. To change how your dates are displayed on your X Axis you need to adjust in the power query editor for your widget.
