The Difference Between Dimension Columns and Measure Columns on a Trends Table
Enterprise Users will be able to view and interact with pages. Performance Managers/Modellers can edit pages and objects, and Model Administrators have full permissions.
You will still need to check your personal permissions to access this area with your site Administrator.
When using trends tables, 2 distinct sides operate in different ways:
- Dimensions (Headers)
- Measures
When building your table, you need to be careful which type you use when you pull fields from the “Dimension Panel” as it will affect the layout of your table and you may build it in a way that you cannot chart how you had planned.
Measure Columns
The measure columns are used to put data into a table. This is what our charts use to plot the data within the table.
Dimension Columns
The dimension column is always on the Y-axis of the table down the left-hand-side.
This column is normally used to group data that appears within the measure columns and the Dimension Columns usually determine the Axis labels on charts.
