Adjusting How the Date is Displayed in Tables and Charts
Enterprise Users will be able to view and interact with pages. Performance Managers/Modellers can edit pages and objects, and Model Administrators have full permissions.
You will still need to check your personal permissions to access this area with your site Administrator.
A common requirement is to change how the date values are displayed on the axis. You may want months/days/years displayed in the best way for that piece of information you are trying to convey.
The date format adjustment does not sit in the chart editor. To change how your dates are displayed on your X-Axis you need to adjust the power query editor for your widget.
Custom Date Formatting
You also can create a custom date format which will then flow through to your tables and charts.
When you are in the power query editor, you can click on the dates tab, then click on the Date format dropdown and select custom.
You’ll then see all the options for your date format each with a dropdown to adjust how each section of the date is displayed.
You can also reorganise the date, as an example you could put the year first and put the day in the middle if you wished.
To do this you need to click on the name label and drag it to the position you want.
