How to Set Up an Object Sync
Object Sync is the method by which the synchronize property values from an Ideagen Healthcare Guardian Questionnaire to an object type.
Please note: This can only be done by a model administrator
Open Ideagen Healthcare Guardian Administrator.
Find the questionnaire you want create an object sync for and click the “questionnaire Settings” button. This is usually located next to the your questionnaire logo. (See below).
Please take note of the name of the object type that would be created when you submit a questionnaire.
Under custom types please select the name for the object being created (in this example “LFPSE Incident”)
Select the Object Type you would like to make changes on from the dropdown list
Click “Create New Fields” and choose and appropriate field type based on the answer

You can add additional fields from the form builder on the left hand side. Please create the appropriate field in relation to the question type.
A new field can be dragged into the already existing ones.
You will be prompted to create a name for the new field. Once a name have been entered, click “Create
In this example we will drag a dropdown field and call it “Incident Workflow Stage”
Next you will need to create a list to associate to the workflow property with, This is should contain all of the same options that are available in the questionnaire list / workflow.
IMPORTANT: THESE MUST BE NAMED EXACTLY IDENTICAL AS THE LIST OPTIONS. ANY DIFFERENCE WILL ENSURE THE OBJECT SYNC FOR THAT PROPERTY WILL NOT WORK.
Save the form.
Configuring the Object sync
Navigate to the object sync section of the questionnaire you wish to create the object sync for.
On the left hand side you will find the property name and the right hand side the question.
To add a new link, click the plus button.
Select the property we created.
Select the object sync type – for example select “Stage”
If applicable. Select the question which will be used to object sync the value
Click “Save and Overwrite”.
This will now create an object sync for a new questionnaire / updated element following a save for the individual questionnaire instance.
If you wish to update any historic recorded questionnaire instances with the new object sync, you will need to log a ticket requesting this with the Ideagen Healthcare Guardian Support Desk.
